Traffic Challan

There are mainly three ways of issuing Traffic Challan by the Traffic Police —

1. On the spot challan:  Immediate Challan issued by the Traffic Police while violation of law is occurred.
    
2. Notice Challan: Traffic Police send the challan through SMS or at the house of the vehicle owner in the situation where it is difficult to convey about the violation of the rule done by violator.
    
3. Challan from the Court: This challan is mostly imposed where provision of punishment with penalty are available in the law.

Payment of Traffic Challan in Lok Adalat
Traffic challans that can be waived or reduced in Lok Adalat: Only normal traffic violations are handled in the Lok Adalat. This includes fines for not wearing a seatbelt, not wearing a helmet, or jumping a red light. You can request a reduction or dismissal of the fine in such cases
