Civil law, also known as Private law, The  province of Private law is the adjustment of relations between person and person. In case of Private law, the parties to a case may either be natural or artificial persons and the  states only acts as an arbiter through courts. Property Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, Family Law, etc. are some instances of Private Law.
